SPECULATIVE MYSTERY ICONOCLAST ABOUT US
Where Speculative Fiction and Mystery crossover
Speculative Mystery Iconoclast was born from the realisation that there were no short fiction magazines that were dedicated to Speculative Mystery crossover fiction. There was no venue for writers to experiment by combining elements of the Speculative and Mystery fiction genres or where readers could get their fix of crossover stories.
That was the dream’s tentative beginnings and what you’re reading on your screen right now is its realisation.
We wanted Speculative Mystery Iconoclast to be read everywhere and knew that nobody likes to wait around on a website for fiction to be posted. That is why our fine publication is published as a PDF magazine. If you like your mysteries served up with generous flavours of Science Fiction, Horror, Fantasy, or Dark Fantasy, then you should buy the current issue of our magazine.
In the spirit of our publication, we would like share the following quotes (some writerly and others philosophical) that have inspired us or made us think:
The possession of knowledge does not kill the sense of wonder and mystery. There is always more mystery.
- Anais Nin
